Radiology Department
The Radiology Department is under direct
supervision of a Radiologist who is certified by the American Board of Radiology and has a current
license to practice medicine from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of State, Bureau of
Professional and Occupational Affairs.
A technologist who is registered by the American
Registry of Radiological Technology is available twenty-four (24) hours per day and will assist
the radiologist in acquiring needed images on referred patients.
The goal of the
Radiology Department is to ensure that all patients treated will receive the highest quality of
care, in the most expedient and professional manner possible.
Services include: CT
scan, Diagnostic Ultrasound, MRI, Mammography, Dexascan (Bone Densitometry), Nuclear Medicine, and
all routine Diagnostic Radiology procedures. Services related or concomitant to imaging include
performance improvement monitoring and evaluation, quality control and radiation protection to
both patients and staff in compliance with ALARA (As low as reasonably achievable) Standards in
radiation protection, image interpretation, dictation, record filing, film processing and
continuing education.
